Holly Piirainen, 10, of Grafton, was killed in the summer fo 1993. She was kidnapped from Sturbridge on Aug. 5 while visiting her grandparents.
Police said her remains were discovered in Brimfield by two hunters in about two months after her death.
It is not clear whose body was exhumed in Sturbridge sometime during the week of Sept. Sept.. 27, according to Boston 25 News. However, police said it is not that of David Pouliot, a 49-year-old Springfield man who was a suspect in Piirarinen’s disappearance. The only details the police would reveal is that the body was male.
